Clean Beauty Review - cocokind

I love trying out new safe skincare brands. If it falls into the “clean beauty” category, chances are, I’ll be making a purchase or two.

I found cocokind how I find most of my favorite brands…. on Instagram. They came up as a suggested post and my word, did I find products I wanted to try [all of them]. I decided to curb myself and picked up the three products I was most interested in – the Pore Refining Concentrate, the Facial Cleansing Oil, and the MyMatcha moisturizing stick. I’ve been using them for a week now, so I felt like a review was due.

I want to start off by saying that the price points on all of cocokind’s products are amazing. For the three products I purchased, I spent $37. With almost all clean skincare brands, $37 will maybe get you one product. The price and the quality of the products make for a truly happy clean beauty lover.

MyMatcha ($9) is a moisturizing stick containing coconut oil, beeswax, and matcha powder that is perfect for on-the-go moisturizing. I use this on my dry skin, under my eyes to reduce the appearance of dark circles, and I also use it to keep my eyebrows in check. I know that sounds strange, but I put a little bit of that on my eyebrows in the morning before applying my eyebrow pencil and y’all, it keeps the hair in place and helps to hold the color of the eyebrow pencil all day long. (Not to mention this smells heavenly.)

I’ve been on the search for a primer and I have found the holy grail! The Pore Refining Concentrate ($14) is basically a staple anyone with enlarged pores needs. This rollerball applicator dispenses a celery superseed complex and an aloe vera juice combo to hold your pores tight, giving your skin a blurred effect. I’ve used this alone just to give my skin an air-brushed look and then under foundation and my makeup glides right over it and doesn’t settle into my pores. 10/10 recommend!

The last product I picked up was the Facial Cleansing Oil ($14) and I think this one has been my favorite. I’ve tried cleansing oils before and hated the oily feel they left on my skin, so I was super skeptical of this one. By far, my favorite! I take a few pumps and rub it all over my dry face, breaking up the makeup and dirt from the day, then I take a warm, damp washcloth and wipe everything away. My skin is left feeling clean and moisturized, without the oily residue.

Overall, I will 100% be purchasing more of cocokind’s products – I love the three that I got. You can shop for products here or in Target stores! If you are interested in purchasing products and plan to buy over the course of the year, you can look into their Shipping Program. It’s $45 for the year, but you will get free shipping in the U.S. on each purchase, you will receive a special edition hat, a free trial of a product with each order, and a 25% off birthday discount.
